SLITHM (formerly Ceylon Hotel School) which functions under the Ministry of Economic Development has produced a vast number of professionals into the tourism and hospitality industry during last few decades. SLITHM is currently on an expansion path in order to widen its activities while maintaining the current profile of being the premier national institute for manpower development for tourism and hotel industry.

SLITHM will register a selected number of reputed and qualified institutions for craft level courses and this serves to invite such institutes to respond to this offer and join hands with SLITHM to reach the goal of producing the required number of professionals into the tourism and hospitality industry in coming years.

This registration is expected to generate several benefits including the financial sustainability for the registered institutions, apart from achieving the academic and service excellence envisaged by the hospitality industry.

The prospective institutes should meet the basic requirements of SLITHM covering the academic and training facilities to offer the courses in line with the standards and guidelines of SLITHM.

‘Expression of Interest (EOI)’ is awaited from interested Institutions on or before 30th Nov 2011 for evaluation and registration Please indicate the following in the EOI.

• Qualifications and Experience of Senior Academic and Other Staff
• Last audited accounts
• Any other information deemed necessary for preliminary evaluation
