The Cafeteria

The cafeteria of SLITHM, which is located on the 6th floor with the beautiful scenic view of the sea behind the institute, is well ventilated and can accommodate more than 75 students at a given time. To enhance relaxation and health of the students, the cafeteria consists of a television and purified water filters.

The Restaurants

In order to facilitate practical restaurant sessions, the institute has two air-conditioned and carpeted mock-up restaurants. These restaurants are furnished with timber tables and chairs and are equipped with chillers, separate wash-up areas and stereo set ups. One of the wash-up areas consists of dish washers.

Moreover, separate steel cupboards which can be locked are allocated for each class which hold separate batch of crockery, cutlery, linen and glassware to be utilized during the practical sessions.

The Car Park

The institute has parking facilities for the students with 24 hour security. Around fifty vehicles can be parked easily excluding the separate area for motorcycles.

The Housekeeping Demonstration Room

SLITHM consists of a fully equipped housekeeping demonstration room which contains all the necessary equipments, machinery and chemicals.

Further, intensive practical sessions are conducted at the Hotel Samudra.

Moreover the students are given the opportunity of doing more intended practical session in the Samudra Hotel Premises.
