SLITHM library has a comprehensive collection of reading material that includes books, journals, magazines, articles and periodicals in the discipline of tourism and hotel management. The library was established in the institute premises with the mission of providing comprehensive and user-focused resources with quality library services in support of teaching, learning and research needs of the Tourism community, through developing collections, providing relevant infrastructure facilities and user guidance to encourage teaching-learning and research in an intellectually stimulating information environment.

The fully-fledged Library is well stocked with over 10,000 Books, over 1000 tourism reports and selected periodicals to expand the horizons of your knowledge. The special collections of the SLITHM library include world tourism Organization (WTO) publication, Training Manuals, Company Annual Reports, Periodicals Holdings, tourism statistics, students project reports and the valuable Sri Lanka Collection.

Vision
To be a leader in the development and providing of quality information and services for the education and research of Tourism & Hospitality sector

Mission
To provide comprehensive and user focused resources with quality library services in support of teaching, learning, and research needs of the Tourism community, through developing collections, providing relevant infrastructure facilities, and user guidance to encourage teaching, learning, and research in an intellectually stimulating information environment.

Goals
• To maintain and preserve the official legal Deposit Collection and other tourism information resources which plays a prominent role in the tourism of the country.
• To maintain a collection of current and up to date information resources in support of teaching, learning and research needs of the SLITHM.
• To offer information skills development initiatives to support with the objective of improving relevance and quality in lectures & students of SLITHM.
• To collaborate with the SLITHM, library and academics community partners to enrich the research and learning environment.
• To provide appropriate physical and technology – based library infrastructure facilities to support teaching, learning and research
